Once Upon a Time . . .

Good Morning everyone and welcome to Monday.  I awoke to rain this morning and was very happy to see it. We are in need of rain so much and noticed yesterday that the streams are very low right now.  Thank you, God, for your small miracles that you bestow on us every day.

Today I would like to share a layout that I made for the Scrap our Stash Sketch +3 Challenge as follows:

Here is my layout:

I loved using this sketch as inspiration and used the following items from each list:
List 1: the color "Desert" on my middle flower
List 2: the color "English Green" on my background paper
List 3: flowers

Thank you, Scrap our Stash, for the inspiration to make this layout.  I had this paper and beautiful chipboard from a kit that I purchased from ScrapMatts!!

Here are some different views and close-ups:

And I would like to end by sharing the photos that I took at Jacobsburg State Park this past summer:

I hope you enjoyed following us through the park!  These were taken at the beginning of September when the weather was still quite warm.  We try to go for a walk together as a family at least once a week during these busy times.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.  Hugs!!!

Dream . . .

Hi everyone!  I am here this evening because I want to share a new scrapbook page that I just made!  I saw a great sketch over at My Creative Sketches and couldn't wait to scrap some favorite fall photos.

Here's the sketch:
Isn't it awesome?

And I am also linking my layout to October's Art Journal Journey.  The theme this month is Indian Summer!

Thank you, AJJ, for having this wonderful autumn themed challenge this month!!!

And I really enjoyed making my layout as follows:

I kept it simple so I could let my photos and the sketch shine.  I used some new scrapbook paper that I received for my birthday from a dear friend:
Thanks, Barb!

Here are some close-ups:

Thank you, My Creative Sketches, and Art Journal Journey for giving me the inspiration to make this scrapbook page!

And here are some of the photos that I took on a warm autumn day back in 2013:

I can't believe how much Anne has grown since then.  What a difference a few years makes!

I hope you are all enjoying your October!  And thanks for stopping by my blog!
Sending HUGS to you all!!

Good Morning everyone!  TGIF!!!  I hope this Friday finds everyone happy and healthy!

Today I am sharing a layout that I made for the current challenge over at Challenge YOUrself:

I am also linking up my autumn-themed page to Art Journal Journey!  This month's theme is Indian Summer!  Thank you, Valerie, for hosting this beautiful challenge!

I love these fall colors and here is my take:

I wake up every morning feeling blessed to have my family.  This day, I scrapped about a photo that was taken at a baby shower Anne and I attended this year.  I enjoyed using the colors in the Challenge YOUrself color palette, and of course, using a photo with me in it!!!  (Which isn't always easy for me or you either, I bet!  LOL!)

I encourage all of you scrappers/artists to check out the CY challenge and the Art Journal Journey challenge this month!

And in keeping with the fall theme, I will end my post today with some cell phone photos that were taken at the Women's 5K Classic this past weekend:

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Have a great weekend everyone!  xoxo

Friends forever!

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a wonderful September so far!  I cannot believe that autumn will be here this week.  I hope that you are enjoying your September, no matter what season you are going welcoming in!
♥ ♥
Today I would like to share my latest scrapbook page:  I made this layout for the current Dusty Attic challenge.  Here is their beautiful mood board for September:

And the only "rule" is that you require Dusty Attic chipboard used on your masterpiece.

Isn't that great?  I took my cue from the beautiful pussy willow and gorgeous colors.
Here is my layout. (that I thoroughly enjoyed making, by the way.)

The Dusty Attic chipboard that I used:

Here are some close-ups of the chipboard pieces on my scrapbook page:

With some different angles:

Thank you so much, Dusty Attic, for the inspiration this month. ♥  I couldn't have made it without you!  I have been waiting for the right time to scrap this special photo, a photo of my daughter, Anne, with her travel group friends, taken back in 2009 at Pearl S. Buck in Perkasie, PA.  We got together that day to celebrate their Chinese heritage.  It was a beautiful summer day in June:

Here are some more photos:

I cannot believe that the older girls are 13 now!  WOW!  Talk about time flying . . .  And they are all are growing up so beautifully! ♥

I will end my post today with the quote that I used on my layout:

"We will be friends forever, won't we, Pooh?
asked Piglet.
Even longer, Pooh answered."

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  ♥  Hugs!
