You are the light of the world!

Good Morning everyone and welcome Thursday!  It has been a LONG time since I have made a card.  My friend, Kirsty, inspired me to make a card today.  I visited Kirsty's blog this morning and decided to play along with the following challenge:

City Crafter Challenge Blog

I was totally inspired by the cool off the edge style that Marina's card has!

Here is the card I came up with.  I just purchased the Chinese lantern stamp from Impression Obsession rubber Stamps.

I had a lot of fun making this card!  Thank you, City Crafter, for the inspiration to create a card.  And thank you, too, Kirsty!!!

And thanks so much for your visit to my blog today.

Have a great Thursday everyone!!!

Cute Sisters!

Good Morning everyone! I hope that you are all enjoying April so far.  I cannot believe that we are entering the last week of April already!

Today I would like to share a layout that I made for Brenda's GrandDiva's Creative Corner Inspiration Challenge for April:
I started this layout at a crop that I attended in March.  I was having trouble getting it finished, until I saw Brenda's Inspiration Challenge for April.  I was inspired by the beautiful and fun colors here, and the happy design, which reminds me of Spring.  Here is the layout I came up with:

With a close-up:

 and a different view:

Thank you, Brenda, for the inspiration to finish my layout!

To end my post, I would like to share some photos that I took during my walk yesterday . . .

I love to walk just when the sun is coming up:

Tiny daffodils are peaking through the trees:

If you look closely, you can see a blue bell:

The nearby farm looks ready for Spring:

Another daffodil:

 Bleeding hearts:

And a bright red tulip:

That's it!  I enjoyed seeing all of the signs that Spring is in the air!  And thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Hugs to you all!!!

Good Morning everyone!  Happy Friday!  I hope that you all are having a wonderful April so far.  Can you even believe that it's April already???  The saying "April Showers Bring May Flowers" has certainly been true for us here in Pennsylvania .  We have gotten a lot of much-needed rain:

Today I would like to share my latest layout - I made it for the new Challenge YOUrself Challenge:

This month is all about what inspires you!  I made my layout using a photo that was taken way back in 2011:

My friend, Barbarann, hosted a photography lesson at her home.  After that amazing lesson, I have been totally hooked by photography.  I am so happy to have Barbarann and Lisa in my life - they are an inspiration to me all the time in so many ways! Thanks so much, Lisa and Barbarann!!!!

Here is a close up:

And a different view:

I hope YOU get a chance to check out the inspire challenge at Challenge YOUrself this month.  We would LOVE to see you there!

And thank you so much for your wonderful visit to my blog.

Just for Fun!

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!  I hope you are all enjoying March so far.  It has been a CRAZY weather month for us here in Pennsylvania!  The beginning of the month brought up temps in the 60's, but the next week had freezing tempts again and a Nor'Easter!

Here is a photo that I took from inside our sliding glass door during the storm:

And I took this one the following morning - what a difference:

If was definitely the calm after the storm.

We had 60 degree temps again this past weekend.  YAY!  I hope this means Spring is almost here . . .

The stormy weather brought me time to scrap:

Today I would like to share a layout that I made with this month's My Creative Sketches:

I was so happy to see this sketch, because I started a layout using a favorite photo that I took of Anne on her bicycle a few years ago, but was having trouble completing it. The sketch gave me some much-needed inspiration to make my completed page as follows:

Here's a different view:

And a close up:

Thank you, My Creative Sketches, for making this sketch that helped me finish my layout!

And thank YOU so much for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you are having a wonderful day.

An All Day Scarpbooking Event!

Hi everyone! I hope this post finds you all healthy and happy!

I am writing because I attended an all day scrapbooking event yesterday, which I hardly every get the chance to do anymore.   It was the Spring ALS Charity Crop in Souderton, PA:
I had a wonderful time scrapping with good friends and seeing some old friends there as well.  And what could be better than getting a whole day to scrap while supporting a good cause?

Today I would like to share two of the many layouts that I made:

1)  For my first page, I used this month's Creative Embellishments Challenge:

Their challenge is to use the photo below as your inspiration. Their twist is to incorporate
something that flies on your page.

I was inspired by the beautiful movement depicted on this work of art.  And I was drawn to the gorgeous turquoise color.

Here is the layout I created:

As you can see, I incorporated stamps with butterfly wings and angels on my page.  And I used Creative Embellishments beautiful "Out of this World" chipboard piece:

I painted it white, distressed it, then added black circles and silver gems!!

Here is a close-up:
If the photo looks familiar to you, it should!  It was the one we used for our Christmas card this past December - I just converted it to black and white.

I would like to thank Creative Embellishments so much for inspiring me to make this scrapbook page!

2)  The second layout that I made was created using a kit I purchased from "A Place to Create" entitled "It's the Little Memories," designed by Tina Ollett  - please see more of her GORGEOUS scrapbook pages on Facebook and her blog.

Here is the layout I created using her kit:

I used a photo of Anne that I took when we went to Atlantic City for a long weekend last summer.  I pretty much followed Tina's instructions and her design to the T.  Thank you so much, Tina!

I would like to link my second layout to the Art Journal Journey challenge this month.  There theme is
"Out and About!"

Thanks, Yvonne, for this month's awesome theme, and AJJ for your ever-ending support and inspiration!!

I will share some of the other layouts that I made yesterday at a later date . . .

Until then, I leave you with a wish that you are all well and enjoying March.  We just got some snow on Friday and are expecting a Nor'easter storm on Monday evening which will last into Tuesday.  For those of you how live in the zone of this storm, please stay safe!

And thank YOU so much for visiting my blog today.  Hugs to all of you.

Good Morning everyone!

Today I would like to share a layout I made for the newest Challenge YOUrself challenge.  You may ask:  What is Challenge YOUrself?  If you don't already know, it's a challenge blog that asks you to make pages with YOU in the photos!!!

This month's challenge is all about using negative space:

I enjoy using negative space on my pages, but I know that for some scrappers, it's a real challenge.  I hope you all get to play along with us this month!

Here is my page:

With a close up:

This is a favorite photo of mine of the 3 of us.  My twin sister, Karen, took it at the Women's 5K Classic that we attend every year!!  Karen and I were celebrating a milestone birthday last year, too, which made it even more special.

Here are some different views:

One of my favorite aspects about making this layout was using the ballone punch and stamps.  I got the cute balloon punch and stamps at a Stampin Up crop that I attended last year with one of my dear friends!

I hope you get to check out the Challenge YOUrself blog and participate in our challenge this month!  We all would love that!

I am also entering my page into the Art Journal Journey challenge this month which is "Out and About:"

This monthly challenge is absolutely amazing.  Just check out some or all of the entries from all over the world, if you want to get some awesome artistic inspiration!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  Hugs!
